The Mumbai Traffic Department has issued a press note about the upcoming visit of a VVIP to Shri Siddhivinayak Temple on 6th July 2023. S. K. Bole Road will be closed to all vehicles from Portuguese Church Junction to Shri Siddhivinayak Temple Junction during the visit. Motorists can take an alternate route via Gokhale Road, Jakhadevi Junction, Shankar Ghanekar Road, Sant Rohidas Chowk, Leningrad Chowk, and Appasaheb Marathe Road/Sayani Road.
Similarly, Kashinath Dhuru Road will be closed from Kashinath Dhuru Junction to Aagar Bazar Circle. However, after the VVIP's departure, traffic movement will be allowed from Aagar Bazar Chowk towards Portuguese Church via S.K. Bole Road. An alternative route for motorists is from Kashinath Dhuru Junction towards Gokhle Road, Portuguese Church Junction via Aagar Bazar Chowk, Kashinath Dhuru Road, MTNL Road, Govind Patvardhan Road, and Gokhle Road.
The department has requested all commuters to abide by the temporary regulations and cooperate with the authorities to ensure a safe and successful visit for the VVIP. Deputy Commissioner of Police is leading the Mumbai Traffic Department in this endeavour.
