Tiffany Haddish, the stand-up comedian and star of the hit movie Girls Trip, has been arrested for driving under the influence. According to TMZ, she was found sleeping at the wheel of her car in Beverly Hills on Thanksgiving evening, shortly after performing at The Laugh Factory's 43rd annual free Thanksgiving feast. The Beverly Hills Police Department received a call around 5:45am about someone slumped over their steering wheel with the car still running in the middle of the street. When officers arrived at the scene, they found Haddish there and placed her in handcuffs.
This isn't the first time she's been in a similar situation. Back in January 2022, she was arrested in Atlanta for driving under the influence. The Peachtree City Police Department received a call about someone sleeping behind the wheel of their vehicle, and when they arrived at the scene they found Haddish going into a neighborhood. She was arrested and charged with DUI and improper stopping on a roadway.
In regard to the latest incident, she is set to go to trial for that charge on December 4th. This news comes shortly after she was granted her request to have the lawsuit filed against her by her former friend Trizah Morris heard in arbitration. Morris is suing Haddish for defamation, claiming that Aries Spears and Haddish defamed her publicly after her children successfully settled a sexual abuse case against them last September. She asked their attorneys to release a statement clearing her of the extortion claims, but when they failed to do so she filed the current lawsuit.
