The tragedy in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, has claimed three lives and left eight others injured. The incident occurred near Farnakhedi village, about 80 km from the district headquarters, in the early hours of Saturday.
According to Narendra Singh Tomar, the in-charge of Khachrod police station, the private bus was carrying nearly 40 passengers and was en route from Indore to Jodhpur. Due to heavy rains and a slippery road, the bus overturned at a turn around 12.30 am.
Unfortunately, two of the passengers were crushed beneath the bus while another passenger died during treatment at the hospital. Eight other passengers sustained injuries and are currently admitted for treatment.
