The Tal police have arrested three people in connection with a serious crime. On July 5, the accused hit a police vehicle and Tal station in-charge, Nagesh Yadav, with a speeding pick-up van. As a result, Yadav sustained serious head injuries and had to receive eight stitches.
The accused then fled the scene and drove towards some agricultural fields near Nagda Road in Kishangarh. This prompted the Tal police station to file a case for obstructing government work. SP Sidharth Bahuguna formed a special team to track down the culprits and get them arrested.
The police used CCTV footage and local sources to locate the accused. Acting on a tip-off, they apprehended three individuals near Agar. Upon inspecting the pick-up van, the police discovered that the trio had been smuggling 10 bovines to Dhulia in Maharashtra.
The three arrested individuals have been identified as Azam, Salman from Ujjain, and Gokul Singh from Agar. They were unable to show any documents related to the transportation of cows and were taken to court in Alot. They have now been remanded to police custody for further investigation.
