Three Black actors have created Mansa, a platform providing free streaming content to viewers around the world.
Introducing Mansa – a free ad-supported streaming video-on-demand service for global Black culture – a new way to bring more of the culture you love to your television screen. Founded by actors Nate Parker, David Oyelowo, and Chiké Okonkwo, Mansa is designed to offer a variety of content, like on-demand titles, digital linear channels, and short-form videos.

Thanks to the backing of tech entrepreneur and film financier Zak Tanjeloff, and an $8 million seed round led by MaC Venture Capital and additional funding from groups like Robert F. Smith’s Vista Equity Partners and former mayor of Sacramento and NBA player, Kevin Johnson’s Black Capital VC, Mansa is revolutionizing how you watch Black culture. With their goal of providing free, ad-supported content, the platform will feature Idris Elba’s Second Coming, Trevor Noah’s comedy special, You Laugh But It’s True, and more, with over 1,500 hours of content.

Designed with younger millennials and Gen Z in mind, Mansa has a TikTok-style feed that will feature trending videos, with categories ranging from music to food, from YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram. Plus, with the ‘Watch Out Loud’ feature, fans can join in live watch parties and stream movies and TV shows with the creators and independent filmmakers.

Experience Black culture in a new way with Mansa – it’s the perfect way to get connected to the culture you love!
