The modelling agency is challenging traditional beauty standards.
L'Imperfetta modelling agency, founded by Carlotta Giancane in 2020, is shaking up the fashion world by having over 140 models on their books that do not fit the conventional beauty standards.

The agency has placed models in campaigns both online and on television, while two of their models have even walked for designer Marco Rambaldi in Milan Fashion Week. Now, Giancane has launched a campaign on Instagram to celebrate the beauty of ordinary people and their imperfections.

Sonia Sparta, 28, is one of their models and has a rare skin disorder called hyperpigmentation, which produces dark spots on her face and body. Originally from Sicily, she has experienced the cruel comments of strangers judging her appearance.

Lucia has also found confidence in her natural appearance, embracing her natural hair colour and paler skin during the lockdown.

Generally, high fashion models have to be between 5 ft 9 and 6ft tall, and slender with a size 6 to size 8 figure; however, L’Imperfetta is open to people of all body shapes and sizes.
