When it comes to pairing food and drinks, there are few combinations as heavenly as great beer and great steak. That's why Richard Bath decided to visit the Inn & Gunn Taproom for a taste of both. And let me tell you, it was an experience worth writing about.

And to top it off, we each got a third of a pint of their Original beer. Feeling a bit peckish, we decided to start with their famous warm Scotch egg for an extra £8.
But the biggest surprise was yet to come. If you happen to have a big appetite, you're in luck. Because at the Inn & Gunn Taproom, refills on food are on the house. So for less than £30 each, we indulged in a Scotch egg, two mouth-watering steaks, an abundance of fries, and one and a third pints of beer. Talk about a steal.
Now, let's talk about the atmosphere. The Taproom is a spacious and inviting spot on Lothian Road. With a long bar stocked with a variety of beers and big communal tables, it's the perfect place to gather with a few friends. And if steak isn't your thing, don't worry. They also offer a vegetarian option - the mushroom steak frites - as well as a selection of burgers and other snacks and sides. The staff are friendly, efficient, and always ready to assist.
