Mumbai, India: 20th November 2025:
On the bustling streets of Mumbai, a groundbreaking event took place on the 20th of November 2025. The International Advertising Association India Chapter, in collaboration with Snapchat, the popular visual messaging platform for Gen Zs and young India, introduced an innovative initiative called 'The Vibe'. The main goal of this initiative was to showcase the endless possibilities of Augmented Reality in brand storytelling to India's creative community.
The event was a huge success, with over 150 leading creative professionals from top agencies like Ogilvy, McCann, VML, Leo Burnett, and many more in attendance. There were also representatives from Accenture Song, Schbang, Havas, and other prominent agencies, as well as independent creative groups like Kulfi Collective and Rediffusion.
The evening kicked off with a warm welcome by Abhishek Karnani, the President of IAA India. He was followed by Kranti Gada, IAA Mancom Member & Lead for the IAA Young Professionals Program, who emphasized the program's focus on empowering professionals under 35 through exposure, learning opportunities, and networking.
Saket Jha Saurabh, Director & Head – Content & AR Partnerships at Snap Inc., then gave an insightful presentation on the current state of AR and its growing significance in the advertising world. This set the stage for the keynote speaker of the evening, Avijit Pathak, Creative Lead at Snap Inc., who delved into the practical aspects of using AR in marketing, from tools and workflows to its impact on brand experiences.
The program also featured an engaging fireside chat with Amulya Rattan, a popular Snap Star with over 9 million followers across platforms. Moderated by Roxanne Chinoy, Talent Partnerships at Snap Inc., Amulya shared her firsthand experiences of utilizing AR in content creation.
The audience was then invited to participate in a Q&A session, where they discussed real-world use cases, production approaches, and potential collaborations. To round off the evening, guests had the chance to experience Snap's AR Spectacles, which gave them a taste of the next level of storytelling.
