Telangana CM accuses plot to abolish reservations in India.
In a recent event held in Hyderabad, Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy expressed his concerns about the BJP's potential plans to remove reservation policies for various weaker sections in the country. According to Reddy, this is being done in line with the RSS's ideology and the party's policies. He also mentioned that the RSS has set a target to eliminate reservation by 2025, which marks their 100th year.

During the event, where a charge sheet against the BJP government at the Centre was being released by the state Congress unit, Reddy stated that there is a conspiracy to impose the RSS's thinking on the country. He also pointed out that Prime Minister Narendra Modi believes that if the BJP gains a majority, it will be easier for him to do away with the reservation policies.

Reddy emphasized the need for a thorough examination of the country's situation and promised that the Congress will increase reservation for various sections in proportion to their population. He also accused the BJP of being afraid that the current 27% reservation for OBCs might be increased to 50%.

Reddy warned that every vote for the BJP will only aid in ending reservations. He also mentioned that some political parties, in the name of politics, are supporting the BJP, even though they want reservations to be abolished. He called the ongoing election a referendum on whether reservations should continue or not.

Reddy further alleged that in the past 10 years, the Modi government has betrayed all sections of society. He pointed out that PM Modi has failed to deliver on his promises of providing two crore jobs every year to unemployed youth, as was promised in the 2014 and 2019 elections. According to Reddy, the government's response to his question in Lok Sabha in 2022 revealed that only 7.21 lakh jobs were created in the past 10 years, instead of the promised 20 crores.

The Chief Minister also brought up Modi's promise to double the income of farmers and accused the government of introducing three "black" laws that would make farmers slaves to corporates. However, after facing widespread protests from farmers, the government was forced to withdraw the legislation, and PM Modi had to apologize.

Reddy also reminded everyone of Modi's promise to bring back black money from Swiss banks and transfer Rs. 15 lakh to every Jan Dhan account. However, even after becoming the Prime Minister, Reddy claims that Modi has not fulfilled these promises, and the prices of essential commodities like cooking gas, petrol, and diesel have only increased under his rule.

Reddy also alleged that the BJP has imposed GST on items like agarbattis, pencils, and erasers used by children, adding to the burden of the common people. He also claimed that PM Modi has raised debts twice as much as the cumulative debts raised by 14 previous Prime Ministers.

The Chief Minister, along with Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and AICC in-charge Deepa Dasmunshi, released a charge sheet highlighting the failures of the Modi government in the last 10 years. Dasmunshi, while addressing the event, stated that the INDIA alliance was formed to protect democracy and the Constitution. She also accused PM Modi of failing to fulfill his promises, including the promises made to Telangana, and warned that a vote for Modi would lead to destruction rather than development.
