Shahdol: A Class 10 student was allegedly sexually harassed by her teacher at a government school in Shahdol district, Madhya Pradesh. The incident occurred at the CM Rise school in Jaisinghnagar.
The student had gone to the school to appear for a supplementary examination on Monday. According to Jaisinghnagar police station in-charge Vinay Singh Gaharwar, the accused teacher asked the girl to meet him alone after the exam. The victim also alleged that the teacher had sexually harassed her in the past as well. Following this, the teacher has been arrested and charged with sections 354, 509, and other relevant provisions of the Indian Penal Code and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.
