Sydney man charged for running an illegal drug lab that was recently discovered.
A man has been charged by the police after they uncovered an active drug lab in Sydney's west. The incident took place yesterday at 11:30am, when organised crime detectives conducted a search warrant in Silverdale. During the search, the officers stumbled upon an active clandestine laboratory and seized several items including firearm parts, a large quantity of powder and liquid, which they believe to be drugs.

Apart from this, the officers also discovered a cannabis farm with a number of marijuana plants, along with chemicals that are believed to be used in the production of prohibited drugs. Due to the complexity of the situation, specialist police and Fire and Rescue NSW were called in to assess the size of the lab and dismantle it. After thorough investigation, a 30-year-old man was arrested on Friday at 2:30pm in relation to this discovery.

The man was taken to Campsie Police Station, where he was charged with several offenses including manufacturing a prohibited drug in large commercial quantities, supplying a prohibited drug, cultivating a prohibited plant, and organising/assisting a drug premises. This search warrant was executed after detectives identified a potential criminal network that was importing glassware that is typically used in the manufacture of prohibited drugs.

In order to gather more evidence, all the items seized during the search will undergo forensic examination. The accused was denied bail and is set to appear in Parramatta Local Court today. This is a major breakthrough in the fight against drug-related crimes, and the police are determined to continue their efforts in cracking down on such illegal activities.
