Susanna Reid returns to Good Morning Britain with a new look after a long absence.
Susanna Reid made her return to Good Morning Britain on Monday morning with a big transformation. Her co-anchor, Ed Balls, was the first to point out her new look, to which Susanna responded with a smile.

"Good to be back!" she said. "Yes, I've had a few inches chopped off. I feel a little lighter." Susanna then explained why her summer holiday was cut short, revealing that she was caught up in the air traffic control meltdown. She ended up having to stay in France for an extra day, but she wasn't too worried.

"Got stuck in France for an extra 24 hours. Can't complain, to be honest," she said. "It's just an extra night, an extra dinner. But I don't know... has everybody got back yet? 'Cause I know that some people had not been offered flights until today."

Susanna then urged viewers who were still stuck abroad due to the air traffic issues to get in touch with Good Morning Britain.

"My sympathies," she said. "As I say, we're very, very lucky. Just got caught up for a couple of hours."

The presenter then shifted the conversation to the fact that it was interesting to be back with Ed at the start of September, considering he used to be the Education Minister. Susanna was off all summer, and her new haircut was praised by viewers on social media.

"Hope you enjoyed your summer holidays - looks good and suits you!" one wrote, while another added, "That's how I want my hair to look! Going to take that image to the hairdressers and ask for a Susanna!"

Unfortunately, Good Morning Britain missed out on a nomination for the National Television Awards this week in the daytime category, with nods instead going to The Chase, This Morning, Loose Women, and The Repair Shop. Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly were recognized in the TV Presenter category, alongside Alison Hammond, Bradley Walsh, Claudia Winkleman, and Martin Lewis.

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays from 6am on ITV. If you're a fan who has a celebrity story, video, or pictures, you can get in touch with the The Agency Entertainment team by emailing, calling, or visiting their Submit Stuff page.
