Susanna Reid replaced on GMB again as she continues to face challenges since the NTAs.
On Sunday night, Susanna Reid took to her Instagram Stories to apologise to her followers for not presenting Good Morning Britain the next day. She explained that she was recovering from a mild illness that had affected her vocal chords. Along with her apology, the 52-year-old presenter shared a video clip of her wearing a T-Shirt and glasses perched on her head.

In the video, Susanna thanked her fans for sending her tips on how to recover and said she had been trying ginger and lemon and honey tea and drinking lots of water. She ended the clip with the promise: ‘I will see you soon.’

Susanna also shared the message on Twitter, where her friend and Channel 5 presenter Dan Walker expressed his concern and wished her a speedy recovery. Many of her followers also sent their well-wishes, hoping for her swift return.

The presenter explained that a specialist had told her that she needs to rest her vocal chords a little longer. Her unscheduled time off came as she was forced to pull out of presenting Good Morning Britain last Wednesday and This Morning the previous day.

Susanna had attended the NTAs on Tuesday night, but despite leaving the event early, she mysteriously lost her voice. She recalled that the taxi driver had joked she wasn’t partying as she was the first one to leave, but Susanna insisted she doesn’t drink or smoke.

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays from 6am on ITV1, and Ranvir Singh and Ed Balls hosted the show on Monday. Everyone is wishing Susanna a speedy recovery and hoping to see her back in the studio soon.
