The One Show was thrown into chaos on Wednesday night when their guest stars couldn't join them on the sofa - they were stuck in an elevator!
Hosts Ronan Keating and Alex Jones were expecting Stephen Fry and Sheridan Smith to chat about their upcoming projects, but instead viewers were treated to video clip after video clip.
Eventually, the presenters revealed why - Stephen and Sheridan were trapped in a lift! Alex explained to the audience: "We are having a night here. Stephen Fry and Sheridan Smith are due on this sofa. Obviously it's a live programme - they are stuck in the lift."
Ronan descended into giggles beside her, and the two went on to share a video of Spencer Matthews going on a hike in the countryside.
Much to the relief of everyone watching, the stars managed to get out of the lift before the end of the show and were in good spirits when they eventually arrived. Stephen joked, "Santa's sleigh ride got a little stuck. I think the reindeer were drunk."
After the quick change of plans, the conversation moved to Stephen's recent unfortunate accident which left him with a badly broken leg. Stephen had been speaking at an event at London's O2 arena when he fell off stage "on to hard concrete six feet on to hard concrete." Thanks to medication and "especially good physiotherapy" Stephen is now on the mend, and he has his final X-Ray this week.
