Sarah Jayne Dunn looks to new acting opportunities after her Hollyoaks departure.
Sarah Jayne Dunn, who is best known for her role as Mandy Richardson in Hollyoaks between 1996 and 2021, has revealed she is open to the idea of joining the cast of Coronation Street.
Sarah is no stranger to hard-hitting storylines, having been at the centre of some of the most dramatic moments in the Channel 4 soap. She has portrayed Mandy's struggle with the death of her family, her pregnancy, and even reported her father for rape.

However, Sarah's time on the show came to an end earlier this year when she was fired from the cast for launching an Only Fans account. Since then, she has been open to the idea of returning to the world of soaps, and is calling on Coronation Street to give her a role.

Speaking to the Daily Star, she said: “Corrie would be ideal because it’s just down the road, and I love Corrie as well, it would be great, wouldn’t it? Can Corrie give me a call? I mean, it’s such an iconic show, isn’t it? And I’m a northern girl so it fits the bill really, doesn’t it?”

Sarah would not be the first Hollyoaks star to make the move to Coronation Street, with Stephanie Davis recently being announced as the newest addition to the cast. Stephanie used to play Sinead O'Connor, and is now set to take on the role of Courtney Vance in Corrie.

With Sarah keen to make the move, could we expect to see her on the cobbles next? She revealed that she would love to play a femme fatale with a dark past, and joked she would like to take on the role of a female Phil Mitchell - although, without the bald head.

It would certainly be interesting to see Sarah take on a new role, and we can only hope that Coronation Street respond to her call!
