The Prime Minister is taking decisive action to tackle the UK's many potholes!

Rishi Sunak has been pictured taking a closer look at one of the many potholes he has promised a massive £200 million to repair.

The Prime Minister visited Darlington as part of his campaign ahead of the upcoming local elections in May.

He announced ‘today we’re announcing more money for potholes’ as he was seen inspecting the road defect.

The Treasury has already allocated £500 million to the so-called Potholes fund, and last week an additional £200 million was added.

This will help reduce vehicle maintenance costs, improve the road network and provide much-needed relief to workers, families, and businesses - according to ministers.

But Mr Sunak’s pledge hasn’t stopped people from taking matters into their own hands: one man in Brackley was even seen cooking his Pot Noodle in a pothole!

Questions were also raised over reports that Mr Sunak’s heated pool uses so much energy that the local electricity network had to be upgraded.

But the Prime Minister insisted he had taxed the windfall profits of oil companies to help reduce energy bills and provide more support to people.
