It's a shame that Sony didn't seem to make any efforts to prevent scalpers, even though they encountered a similar issue during the launch of the original PlayStation 5 last year. Maybe they could ask eBay to take down these listings, but for now, they're still up and will most likely resurface once the 30th anniversary hardware is officially released on November 21st.
Honestly, it's just mind-boggling to think that all of this chaos could have been avoided if Sony had just released a limited edition console with a simple grey paint job. It would have been much more affordable and accessible for fans, but I guess it's too late for that now.
