Bengaluru: On Friday, the counsel of arrested JD MP Prajwal Revanna, who is the prime accused in the alleged sex video scandal, informed reporters that his client was fully cooperating with the investigation. After meeting with Prajwal at the Special Investigation Team's facility, counsel Arun shared that Prajwal had returned to stand by his words and was providing complete cooperation to the SIT.
Arun further mentioned that he had received a call from the agency and visited the SIT facility. Prajwal was arrested in connection with the Holenarasipura case, as confirmed by Arun. However, the SIT did not disclose when they will be producing Prajwal before the court.
When questioned about the anticipatory bail petition submitted to the court, Arun replied, "You will have to wait and see. I would prefer not to comment on the outcome of the pending petition."
Meanwhile, security has been heightened at the city civil court where Prajwal Revanna is scheduled to appear before the judge. To avoid any untoward incidents, over 200 police personnel and two battalions of Karnataka State Reserve Police have been deployed in the premises.
Prajwal Revanna, the grandson of former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda, had left the country on April 26 after the alleged sex video scandal surfaced. Following this, the authorities had issued an arrest warrant, a lookout notice, and a Blue Corner notice against him. He was eventually arrested in the early hours of Friday at the Bengaluru International Airport.
