Popular Denver brewery expanding to third venue in former religious building.
Just under five months after its second taproom in Aurora was fully up and running, Cerebral Brewing announced on Monday that they will be opening a third location at 3257 Lowell Blvd. in northwest Denver. The new space, which used to be a church, was previously occupied by Oasis Brewing before it closed its doors last December after five years. This highly sought-after location is situated near Highland Square, making it a prime spot for the brewery.

The 4,000-square-foot space will not only feature Cerebral's third taproom in the metro area, but also a second-story mezzanine and a beautiful patio. The brewery is partnering up with Outside Pizza, a popular food truck known for its delicious Neapolitan-style pizzas, to bring a unique dining experience to the new taproom. Outside Pizza, owned by Ashley and Ryan Grillaert, has been serving up their tasty pies from their vintage trailer at various breweries, bars, and events around town. They will now have a permanent spot at Cerebral's new location, where they will be building a pizza kitchen in the space that used to house Oasis Brewing's equipment.

According to Cerebral's co-founder Sean Buchan, the brewery has been a fan of Outside Pizza for years and is excited to team up with them for this new venture. Outside Pizza has been a regular at Cerebral's Congress Park location, making the partnership a natural fit. To celebrate the collaboration, Cerebral and Outside Pizza will be hosting pop-up events on November 22nd, 23rd, and 24th, with plans to officially open the taproom in the spring of 2025. Cerebral, which has been in business for nine years, and Outside Pizza, which has been around for three, are both looking forward to this new chapter.

Since its founding in 2015 on Monroe Street, Cerebral Brewing has become known for its exceptional IPAs, as well as its barrel-aged stouts, lagers, and wild and sour ales. The brewery has received numerous awards, including recognition at the renowned Great American Beer Festival, and is frequently featured on lists of the best breweries in Denver. In 2021, Cerebral began its expansion journey by purchasing a former furniture warehouse on Colfax Avenue to accommodate a larger brewing system. After successfully getting production up and running, Buchan opened a temporary taproom in the building before eventually closing it to make way for the construction of the full-scale taproom, which opened its doors last June.
