Thousands have embraced the positive change of Elon Musk's takeover of Twitter

Thousands of Twitter users have embraced the positive change following Elon Musk's takeover of the site. The coloured checkmarks, previously used to signify accounts with verified status, have been removed from some of the most high-profile accounts on the platform, including those of the Pope, cricketer Virat Kohli and footballer Cristiano Ronaldo.

Twitter users can now salvage their blue ticks as part of the Twitter Blue subscription service, however, this will cost £8.

Despite the controversial changes, Musk recently unveiled his new paid Twitter Blue subscription that promised to come with a verified blue check mark.

In the Musk-verse, Starship, the largest rocket ever built, blasted off from SpaceX’s Texas HQ this afternoon. After the successful launch, Musk tweeted: ‘Congrats @SpaceX team on an exciting test launch of Starship! Learned a lot for next test launch in a few months.’
