Juni Indore police raided a place on Sunday and caught some youths allegedly engaged in online gambling. The prime accused, who was on the run till the filing of the report, had hired the youths for a finance-related job, but instead used them for online gambling.
Juni Indore police station in charge Shailendra Singh Jadoun said that the police acted on a tip-off and raided an office in Navrang Plaza near Tower Chouraha. The youths were found gambling online and the police seized their computer systems for investigation. Jadoun revealed that the prime accused, Lucky, had been running the shop for a month. He had advertised the mobile app and lured people to earn more in less time.
The youths detained at the shop were released after investigation as they had been unaware of the gambling taking place. A case has been registered under the Gambling Act and the police are searching for the prime accused.
In another incident, a youth was duped of Rs 1.79 lakh by an unidentified person who blocked his USDT in cryptocurrency in the Malharganj area. The complainant, Mayank Marothiya, stated that he suffered a loss of Rs 1.79 lakh in cryptocurrency trading due to the scam.
