Pete Wicks recently explained why his face looked "so different" on I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! last week. After appearing on the show to support his best mate Sam Thompson, viewers noticed that his face was puffier than usual and speculated that he had undergone some sort of cosmetic surgery.
However, Pete clarified the change in his looks in a post on Instagram. He wrote, “Also, you’ll all be pleased to know my face has returned to normal following the horrific reaction I had to the mosquito bites. They saw my face and thought it was an all you can eat buffet.”
He followed up with a selfie to show that the swelling had died down, and wrote, “Thankfully my face has returned to normal following the brutal and unprovoked attack by Australian mosquitos. Thank you all for your support during this difficult time.”
Sam Thompson was crowned King of the Jungle on Sunday night, beating former boxer Tony Bellew and ex politician Nigel Farage. The Made in Chelsea star said that being on the show was “the most surreal thing [he’d] ever done in [his] life” and was overwhelmed by the result.
