H B Rajashekhar, a resident of Hippigalale village of Kodlipete Hobli, was hit by a Tata Indica car (KA 13B 7966), while walking. He later died in the hospital on Saturday . A case has been registered in Shanivarasante police station.
Rajeshhekhar was on his way to his daughter's house, Chikakunda village on Wednesday, when the accident took place. He was immediately taken to Kodlipet government hospital and after the first aid was shifted to Arkalgud government hospital, as suggested by the doctors. But, the doctors declared him dead.
Acting based on the complaint lodged by H R Dharmappa, son of the deceased, Shanivarasante police have seized the car and have registered a case. The driver escaped after the accident and the probe is on.
