Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala spoke to media persons on Wednesday following the violence in Nuh district that claimed five lives, including two police homeguards. He stated that the yatra organisers had failed to provide the district administration with the necessary information, which eventually led to the clashes.
"The yatra organisers did not give complete information about the procession to the district administration, which resulted in the violence. Strict action will follow against those responsible for the incident," Chautala told reporters.
The situation in the district has since then normalized. Assistant Commissioner of Police, Crime, Varun Dahiya informed that all restrictions on traffic movement have been lifted, classes are being held as normal, and workplaces are also functioning as usual.

SP Narender Bijarniya said that 40 FIRs have been lodged in connection with the violence and 116 people have been arrested so far.

He also informed that markets are open in Sohna and a flag march has been conducted.
