Police in Indore have filed a case against a dal trader for allegedly cheating an oil trader out of Rs 1 crore.
Shashikant Chaurasia, the In-Charge of Bhanwarkuan police station said that oil trader Ajay Shivani had lodged a complaint stating that he was in a long-term financial relationship with the accused Shankar. According to the complaint, Shankar had borrowed money from Ajay on multiple occasions and had returned it.
Recently however, Shankar had taken the money in instalments and the amount had reached Rs 1 crore. When Ajay asked to get his money back, Shankar started to avoid him and wouldn’t answer his calls.
After receiving the complaint, police investigated the case and registered a case against the accused under the relevant section of the Indian Penal Code. As of now, Shankar has not been arrested.
