Narmadapuram: On Wednesday, the City magistrate Sampada Saraf met with the members of the peace committee and district administration officials at the Kotwali police station to discuss the upcoming religious festivals such as Id-ul-Zuha, Teez and Guru Poornima. She advised everyone to ensure cleanliness around the religious places and proper parking and traffic managements were discussed.

Saraf emphasized the importance of peace and harmony during these festive occasions. She also requested for the necessary precautions to be taken due to the upcoming rainy weather. The officials were also asked to maintain cleanliness and arrange for security at various Ghats on the banks of the Narmada.

It was decided that people should not be allowed to take bath at Kale Mahadev Ghat due to its bad condition and that railings should be installed around it with a notice prohibiting any bathing. Present at the meeting were sub-divisional officer of police Parag Saini, deputy chairman of Nagar Palika Abhay Verma, chief municipal officer Navneet Pandey, town inspector of Kotwali Vikram Rajak and other officials including members of the peace committee.

In other news, three girls from Narmadapuram have been selected for the U-15 cricket training camp to be held in Indore. The selection was done after a series of trials conducted by the district cricket association, which saw participation from several aspiring players. Everyone is excited and proud of the three girls who have been chosen to represent their district.
