This is expected to benefit a total of 3.25 crore people in the state who are currently receiving benefits under the National Food Security Act. Additionally, 6.48 lakh people have also been covered under the State Food Security Scheme.
According to officials, around 4 lakh names have been removed from the list of beneficiaries to ensure that the resources are utilized for the most deserving individuals.
