The MoU for the construction of the Single Lane Modular Bridge in Arunachal Pradesh was signed by Natarajan Partheepan, general manager of GRSE, and a senior official from the 237 Engineer Regiment of the Indian Army. The bridge will be built in Taksing, a beautiful town in the Upper Subansiri district of Arunachal Pradesh. The location is strategically chosen as it is near the border where the Subansiri River enters India from China. The total contract value of this project is Rs 3.13 crore.
It is worth mentioning that GRSE has previously signed an agreement with NHIDCL for the delivery of Class 70R Double-Lane Bridges to connect crucial forward areas along India's borders. This will facilitate the smooth and efficient deployment of troops and equipment. GRSE has already delivered 44 Modular Bridges to the Border Roads Organisation for setting up across India. The company has an impressive track record of supplying over 5,800 Modular Bridges, which is in line with the government's 'Make in India' and 'Atmanirbharta' policies.
