New Age Marketing

This article highlights the need for a new marketing process, a change in the way we think about marketing. Marketing funnels are not going to work in an age where people have so many choices and information at their fingertips. These "funnels" have led to a situation that is often called "marketing blindness."

Marketing Funnels don’t work anymore because they focus on pushing people from one stage of the funnel to another. In this digital age, there are too many options and distractions for people to be pushed through. Marketing should instead focus on what the customer needs - these needs can come from anywhere and anywhere they come from is a potential opportunity for a sale.

The term "new age marketing" was first coined by author and speaker Jay Baer. It is a term that describes what he believes to be the next step in marketing and advertising: an accumulation of certain ideas and techniques that are not only new but futuristic as well.

New-age marketing is said to be a mix of traditional marketing techniques with modern, innovative ideas. The end result is a mix of the old and the new that is designed to create an emotional connection with potential customers.

Marketing funnels are a system of strategies and methods to guide and direct consumers through a predetermined path. For marketers, this is usually the process by which they turn leads into customers.

Marketing funnels are not as effective as they used to be. Consumers today have access to more information than ever before and can find exactly what they want with just a few clicks of their mouse or taps on their phone. They don't need marketers guiding them through the process; all they want is for marketers to give them things that they actually want, need, and will hopefully buy.

The old marketing funnel approach is too linear and it needs to be more iterative with content strategy in mind.

When google Inc., stop "over focusing" on engineering talent and, just maybe thinks of reaching out to Marketers..they may end up killing all the competition.

SEO is crazy powerful.
