Naveen Patnaik urges us to gracefully embrace the people's decision.
Bhubaneswar: Naveen Patnaik, the leader of BJD, acknowledged that the decision of the people should be gracefully accepted. He stated that he will continue to serve the people of Odisha in any way possible. In an interview with PTI Video, the longest-serving chief minister of Odisha expressed his pride in the BJD government and the party.

According to Patnaik, their government has always strived to do an excellent job. He believes that they have numerous achievements to be proud of. However, in a democratic system, there are only two outcomes - either you win or you lose. And after being defeated for the first time in 24 years, it is important to accept the verdict of the people with grace. Patnaik has always considered the 4.5 crore people of Odisha as his family and he promises to continue serving them in any way he can.

The leader also expressed his gratitude to the people of Odisha for continuously showering him with their blessings. The recent Assembly elections saw a shift in power as BJP emerged victorious with 78 seats out of the total 147. BJD, on the other hand, won 51 seats while Congress secured 14 and CPI managed to get one. Three independent candidates also emerged victorious.

Despite the loss, Patnaik remains optimistic and determined to continue serving the people of Odisha. He believes that the people's verdict must be respected and he will do everything possible to fulfill his duty towards them.
