Narayana Guru Seva Samiti Holds Annual General Meeting

Somwarpet, Oct. 6: The annual general meeting of the Taluk Sri Narayana Guru Seva Samiti was held at the Aloka Hall in the town, presided over by the association's president, B. R. Chandrahas.

Nitin, a priest from the community, offered prayers to the portrait of Narayana Guru. Members expressed concern that, despite the association owning a plot of land, the dream of constructing a community hall there remains unfulfilled. Although discussions regarding this have been ongoing for years, no tangible results have emerged. They emphasized that the community hall must be built this time and that efforts should be made to unite the community members.

Speaking on the occasion, President Chandrahas stated that he was unable to continue in his role due to personal reasons and requested that an opportunity be given to someone new. Following a discussion, General Secretary Indira Monappa was appointed as the new president. Addressing the meeting, Indira said that plans would be formulated to develop the association with the cooperation of all members. Association Vice-President Sundar also spoke. Treasurer Ramesh presented the annual statement of accounts. Yashodha Chandrashekhar offered the invocation, and B. A. Bhaskar conducted the proceedings.
