Suntikoppa, Aug. 6: Madikeri constituency MLA Dr. Mantar Gowda said that sports festivals are an important tool for any society to emerge as a garden of peace for all races.
He spoke as the chief guest at the closing ceremony and prize distribution ceremony of the Gadde Aata Rainy Season Festival 2025, which was organized for the first time at Y.M. Karumbayya's garden in Gaddehalla here. In these days when rice cultivation has seen a setback, the elder Y.M. Karumbayya organized this festival with the motto of maintaining the unity, tradition and unity of the society in order to encourage the youth, women, men and children. The Mud Field Sports Festival is a sports event that can be participated in without any prior preparations, and when such programs are organized continuously in rural areas, the society will emerge as a garden of peace for all races.
Former Minister M.P. Appachchu Ranjan said that the Kesarugadde Sports Festival is a natural mud therapy and our elders had found the best natural treatments to maintain physical and mental health in their respective times. He described the sports festival as a powerful tool to bring unity among the diversity of caste, creed and ethnicity in the current social situation.
