Mistake detected in Class-X board exam Science question paper in Odisha.
In Bhubaneswar, the authorities of the Odisha Board of Secondary Education have acknowledged a mistake in the Science question paper for the annual matriculation examination. This was discovered by both students and teachers after the question papers had already been distributed to the candidates taking the exam in 3,111 centers across the state on Saturday.

Upon further inspection, it was revealed that in set-C of the Science paper, the total marks were only 96 instead of the required 100. However, the other three sets of the same subject had all the necessary questions for a full 100 marks. "One question worth 4 marks was missing from the 'C' set paper. The Board is currently looking into the matter and the students will not be negatively impacted. Appropriate measures will be taken during the evaluation of answer sheets," stated BSE President Srikant Tarai during a press conference.

In addition to the question paper error, it was also reported that 11 students were caught cheating during the exam. A committee will review their cases and make a decision accordingly. The BSE president assured that the students who had nothing to do with the mistake in the question paper will not face any consequences. The Board is committed to ensuring a fair and just evaluation process for all the students.
