Manchester United are looking to raise up to £100million this summer and plan to do so by selling off up to a dozen players. This is due to Financial Fair Play regulations, which limit their budget to around £120m. Erik ten Hag, the manager of Man Utd, is looking to build on a successful first season at Old Trafford and is looking to bring in a new striker, midfielder and goalkeeper.
The club has already set the transfer of Zidane Iqbal to Dutch side Ultrecht, and according to reports, Donny van de Beek, Fred and Anthony Elanga are all up for sale for £20m each. Eric Bailly, Alex Telles, and Brandon Williams are also for sale at a combined fee of £17m.
Surprisingly, Harry Maguire is being held onto despite being out of favour with Ten Hag, with Manchester United willing to listen to offers of around £40m for the player. Similarly, Dean Henderson is being kept and the club is willing to accept £20m for the goalkeeper, with Nottingham Forest interested in bringing him back to the City Ground.
Scott McTominay is also on the transfer list with the Red Devils accepting £40m for the midfielder, although Ten Hag is more than happy to keep him in the squad. Jadon Sancho and Anthony Martial are also available for sale, though Manchester United will only accept the right price for them with the former valued at £45m and the latter at £25m.
It is clear that Manchester United are making big plans for the upcoming season and are looking to raise funds to do so. It will be interesting to see which players end up leaving, and which new players come in to the club.
