On Friday night in MP Nagar, a man was arrested for attacking a petrol pump employee with a rod. The accused, Tahir Athar, had come to get his bike refuelled when he was asked to wait. This enraged him and he started hurling abuses at the employee, Shrinivas Patel. When Patel protested, Athar picked up a rod and attacked on his head and face.
Injured Patel was rushed to hospital by the complainant, Chetan Mishra. Mishra then reported the incident to the police and Athar was arrested on the charge of attempt to murder.
