Maliwal claims in FIR that Kejriwal's aide hit her multiple times in chest and stomach.
New Delhi: On Friday, Swati Maliwal, a member of the Aam Aadmi Party in the Rajya Sabha, filed an FIR with the Delhi Police, accusing Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's personal secretary, Bibhav Kumar, of harassment and torture. The copy of the FIR, obtained by IANS, details the alleged mistreatment and violence that Maliwal faced on May 13 at the CM's residence.

According to the FIR, Maliwal visited the residence of Arvind Kejriwal at 6, Flagstaff Road, Civil Lines, Delhi around 9 am on May 13. She entered through the main door, as she had done in the past year since Bibhav Kumar was not present at the gate. After informing the staff of her visit, she was directed to the drawing room to wait for the CM.

While waiting, the CM's personal secretary, Bibhav Kumar, suddenly burst into the room and began screaming and verbally abusing Maliwal without any provocation. Shocked by this outburst, she asked him to stop and call the CM. However, he continued to berate her, saying things like "How dare you not obey us?" and "Your status is so low that you won't refuse us." He even physically attacked her, slapping her multiple times, hitting her head on a table, and kicking her in the chest, stomach, and pelvic area.

Despite her pleas for him to stop, he didn't relent and even pulled up her shirt, causing the buttons to come undone. Eventually, she was taken out of the CM's residence and left on the floor outside, where the police arrived to assist her. However, she was in a state of shock and left the scene to go to her previous residence in Civil Lines. She was eventually able to report the incident to the police, but due to her pain and trauma, she initially chose not to file a written complaint.

In her statement, Maliwal describes the days following the incident as extremely painful and traumatic. She has been experiencing constant pain in her head, neck, arms, and legs, making it difficult for her to walk. As someone who has dedicated her life to fighting for women's rights, she feels deeply disturbed and shattered by the fact that she was brutally attacked by someone she has known for a long time.

The FIR has been registered under various sections of the Indian Penal Code at the Civil Lines police station. Maliwal is urging the police to take strong action against Bibhav Kumar for his "goonda" behavior and hopes for justice in this matter.
