During a meeting with External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar at his residence in New Delhi, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi put forward a request for a UAE consulate in the state. After the meeting, the Chief Minister also met with Union Health Minister JP Nadda. He requested for the establishment of medical colleges in districts of the state that currently do not have one. The statement also mentioned discussions about expanding AIIMS-Bhubaneswar and setting up another AIIMS in Sambalpur.
Majhi also emphasized the importance of implementing the Ayushman Bharat Yojana in Odisha at the earliest. He stated that this program would greatly benefit the poor and elderly population of the state.
