Luke offered incredible opportunity by Jeremy, but with a catch.
Darts superstar Luke Littler had his eyes set on the prize at his first ever championship. 16-year-old Luke had become an overnight sports superstar due to his incredible performances leading up to the World Darts Championship final at Alexandra Palace.

Impressed by his climb to stardom, former Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson, 63, tweeted out an offer to the youngster that couldn't be refused. Clarkson wrote on X: "This may turn out to be expensive but if Luke Littler wins tonight, I'll give him enough of our brand new 0.3 percent Hawkstone Spa lager to last till he's 18."

Unfortunately, Littler didn't take home the title, losing the final to Luke Humphries who won his first champion title with a 7-4 win in front of the excited crowd. Despite the heartbreak, Littler still took home a hefty £200,000 in prize money.

It's still unclear if Littler will still receive the beer from Clarkson as the offer was only valid for a win. Other companies chimed in with promises for the youngster should he prove successful, including German Doner Kebab and Pilot beer company. GDK tweeted: "We can top that @jermyclarkson. We'll give @LukeTheNuke180 free GDK doner wraps for LIFE" and Pilot beer added: "We'll go even further. If he wins we'll give him the keys to the brewery, four million pounds and our first born children."

With all the excitement, it's likely Littler hasn't seen the offer since he hasn't responded. Hopefully Clarkson will still send him some beer to show his appreciation for his efforts in the championship.

Clarkson has been in the news recently for his controversial column before Christmas where he suggested that people might have to 'live on pills made by AI machines in solar-powered factories' instead of food. Animal rights organisation PETA shared their thoughts on his remarks by sending him a disturbing picture book. PETA's Vice President of Programmes Elisa Allen sent the book to Clarkson along with a letter, sharing the 'shocking truths and inescapable logic.'
