As per Rijiju's motion, the Rajya Sabha has been asked to select 10 members to join the committee and inform the Lok Sabha of their decision. The committee is expected to submit its report to the Lok Sabha by the end of the first week of the next session.

Among the 21 Lok Sabha members chosen to serve on the committee are Jagdambika Pal, Nishikant Dubey, Tejasvi Surya, Aparajita Sarangi, Sanjay Jaiswal, Dilip Saikia, Abhikit Gangopadhyay, D K Aruna, Gaurav Gogoi, Imran Masood, Mohd Jawed, Maulana Mohibullah, Kalyan Banerjee, A Raja, Lavu Sri Krishna Devarayalu, Dileshwar Kamait, Arvind Sawant, Balya Mama Suresh Gopinath Mhatre, Naresh Mhaske, Arun Bharti, and Asaduddin Owaisi.
