Layton Williams is the latest addition to the Strictly Come Dancing family. The Bad Education actor and Billy Elliot star will be joining Amanda Abbington and Angela Rippon in the 2023 line-up.
Layton was elated when he announced his participation in the iconic UK dance competition during The One Show. He also expressed his wish to be partnered with a male professional.

He has played the title role in Billy Elliot and Everyone’s Talking About Jamie, and has also starred in Thriller Live, Rent, Hairspray, and New Adventures. His TV appearances include Beautiful People, Benidorm, The Cleaner, and I Hate Suzie. Layton is also the voice over artist for the UK’s first gay dating show, I Kissed a Boy, on BBC.
Layton has his own performing arts company, ‘Pros from the Shows’, which aims to inspire the next generation of entertainers. He has previously won multiple Black British Theatre Awards and an Attitude Award for his contribution to the LGBTQ+ community.
The other rumoured celebs joining Layton on the dancefloor are Stuart Broad, Brenda Williams, and Les Dennis. Last year's Strictly Come Dancing was won by cameraman-turned-dancer Hamza Yassin and his professional partner Jowita Przystal.
