King Cobra Spotted on Petrol Pump Premises

Virajpet, Oct 15: A massive King Cobra was spotted on the premises of 'Sri Matha' petrol pump, located near Balugodu on the outskirts of the taluk, causing alarm.

Upon spotting the snake—which measured approximately 15 feet in length—the petrol pump staff alerted Kuttan, a reptile expert from Perumbadi. Kuttan rushed to the scene and successfully captured the King Cobra.

The snake was subsequently transported safely to the Makutta forest area and released, ensuring no harm came to it or anyone else. Although such a large King Cobra was discovered in a busy, populated area, a potential major incident was averted thanks to the timely intervention and presence of mind of the reptile expert.
