Kerry Katona has spoken out about the reports that Holly Willoughby may be joining the BBC's hit show, Strictly Come Dancing. The former Atomic Kitten star believes it would be "unfair" if the This Morning host was brought on board as a host.
The 42-year-old has expressed her opinion in her new magazine column, where she states that current presenters, Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman, should remain. Kerry went on to suggest that Holly could appear as a contestant on the show instead, while throwing her own name into the hat.
“I don’t think that’s fair on current presenters Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman. They’re great at it. They can’t be swapped out! I think Holly would be great as a contestant instead,” Kerry wrote. “I’d be up for doing Strictly, too. Maybe one day!”
The BBC have yet to respond to the rumours, and Holly is currently taking her usual break from This Morning during the summer holidays. Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary are stepping in as replacements while she is away, and she is expected to return in September.
Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC One later this year. It will be interesting to see if Holly has any involvement in the show.
