The Red Fort area car bomb blast case has taken a significant turn with the National Investigation Agency (NIA) making a major breakthrough. According to an official statement on Sunday, a Kashmiri resident has been arrested for his involvement in the terror attack that occurred on November 10. The accused, identified as Amir Rashid Ali, is believed to have conspired with the suicide bomber, Umar Un Nabi, to carry out the devastating attack.

Amir, who hails from Samboora, Pampore in Jammu and Kashmir, was apprehended by the NIA from Delhi after a thorough search operation. It was revealed during the NIA's investigation that Amir had come to the capital city to assist in the purchase of the car used in the attack. This car was later used as a vehicle-borne Improvised Explosive Device (IED) that triggered the blast.

Further investigations by the NIA have confirmed the identity of the deceased driver of the IED vehicle as Umar Un Nabi, a resident of Pulwama District and an Assistant Professor at Al Falah University in Faridabad. The agency has also seized another vehicle belonging to Nabi, which is currently being examined for any evidence related to the case. So far, the NIA has examined 73 witnesses, including those who were injured in the blast that shook the nation's capital.

In its pursuit to uncover the larger conspiracy behind the bombing and identify all those involved, the NIA is working in close coordination with Delhi Police, Jammu and Kashmir Police, Haryana Police, UP Police, and other sister agencies. The agency is leaving no stone unturned in its investigation and is following multiple leads to get to the bottom of the case, which is registered as RC-21/2025/NIA/DLI.
