Karnataka Sangha to hold Kannada Rajyotsava on November 3

Virajpet, Oct. 28: The Karnataka Sangha of Virajpet has organized taluk-level competition programs as part of the 70th Kannada Rajyotsava on November 3, said Sangha President Maletira Bellu Bopaiah.

He was speaking at a press conference called at Virajpet Press Club. The function to be held at the Mahila Samaj Hall on November 3 at 10 am will be inaugurated by Municipal President Dechamma Kalappa. The function will be presided over by Karnataka Sangha President Maletira Bopaiah.

The chief guests will be MP Yaduveer Wodeyar, MLA from Virajpet constituency and Chief Minister's Legal Advisor A.S. Ponnanna, MLA from Madikeri constituency Mantar Gowda and Legislative Council member Mandepada Suja Kushalappa. On this occasion, Cheppudira S. Poonachha in the field of sports, Chendrimada Nanjappa in the field of military, Devanageri B.C. High School Headmaster H.D. Lokesh in the field of education and Eeramanda Harini in the field of literature will be honored.

Later, Swardha programs will be held, and in the primary and high school sections, there will be dance to Kannada songs (1 team of 9 students from one school allowed), group dance to Naad songs for the college section (1 team of 9 students from one college allowed) and for the general public, folk songs and Kodava songs (only one song per person).
