WWE superstar Kairi Sane has made a shocking return to the company, being seen at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia on Saturday. She was seen emerging from beneath the ring and taking out Bianca Belair, costing her the chance to regain her championship.
It was shortly after her last appearance on Monday Night Raw in July 2020, when she was attacked backstage by Bayley. Her departure from the company was confirmed shortly after, but Kairi had some heartfelt words for the fans before leaving.
She posted on Twitter, “My time in the NXT & WWE locker rooms was incredible. Everyone was kind, funny, & talented, so every day was full of happiness. Also, I was saved by the supportive staff behind the scenes. I will forever love & respect all these professionals I had the pleasure of working with.”
Kairi also highlighted her accomplishments in her three-year tenure, expressing her gratitude to the fans: “I was able to accomplish so much in the last three years, but it wasn’t because of my ability or my strength. During her first run in WWE and NXT, Kairi had a successful career, winning the NXT Women’s Championship, the 2017 Mae Young Classic, and being presented with both the female and overall competitor of the year prizes at the NXT Year-End Awards.
