"I've prayed and cried to be able to be myself and just sing the songs in my heart," she wrote on Instagram. "Many of you have witnessed the years of No's and reasons why I couldn't sing my song. I never and never will give up or in. That would be like giving up on who God made me. I've always said country aint something you can just pick up; it's a lifestyle, it's what your born into. To receive a standing ovation on a stage I dreamed of being on by being myself is an unexplainable feeling."
