Jeremy Vine has taken to Twitter to shut down any rumours that he could be the anonymous "BBC presenter" accused of giving money in exchange for explicit photos from a teenager.
The 58-year-old presenter, who is best known for presenting Newsnight and Points of View, said: "This is seriously defamatory of me. I have screenshotted it and the retweets and passed it to a lawyer.
"There is no truth WHATSOEVER in what you are saying."
He also added: "They are completely and utterly untrue."
Vine went on to confirm that he would be back on his weekday radio programme on Monday, writing: "Just to say I'm very much looking forward to hosting my radio show on Monday - whoever the 'BBC presenter' in the news is, I have the same message for you as Rylan did earlier: it certainly ain't me."
Rylan Clark-Neal, the former presenter of It Takes Two, also took to Twitter to shut down the rumours, writing: "Not sure why my names floating about but re that story in The Sun- that ain't me babe.
"I'm currently filming a show in Italy for the BBC, so take my name out ya mouths."
He continued to reference Will Smith's famous line from last year's Oscars, saying: "I'm filming a new show in Italy for the BBC."
The BBC presenter at the centre of the allegations is said to be currently under investigation. The young person at the centre of the allegations is now 20 years old, but the situation is said to have begun when they were 17, with their mother saying that money received was used to fund a drug addiction.
The teenager's mother said that seeing the presenter involved on telly made her 'sick'. She added: "I blame this BBC man for destroying my child's life."
