It's with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of beloved TV actor Jack Hogan. He passed away in his home on Bainbridge Island, Washington due to natural causes on the 6th of December at the age of 94.
Jack Hogan is best known for starring in the popular World War II series Combat! in the 1960s alongside Rick Jason, Vic Morrow and Pierre Jalbert. He also made appearances in Lawman, Adam-12, Sierra and Hawaii Five-O.
Born Richard Roland Benson, Jr. on November 24, 1929 in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, Hogan got his pilot's license at the young age of 16. After graduation, he joined the US Air Force and served as a staff sergeant for four years in Japan during the Korean War.
In 1956, Hogan moved to Hollywood and started taking acting classes. He soon made his onscreen debut in the movie Man from Del Rio and also worked as a lifeguard at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
