Indore to get operational new grids of RDSS Project in Aug.
The Madhya Pradesh Electricity Distribution Company (Discom) is hard at work constructing 97 new grids under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme. Managing Director Amit Tomar says that weekly meetings are being held between the superintendent engineers and the agencies to ensure timely and quality work.

He added that the new grids are expected to become operational in August. Tomar also believes that the new grids will provide an additional 500 MVA of power supply. This, in turn, will strengthen the power supply system in the state.

The Rabi season is also set to kick off in October and, with the new grids in place, farmers from Indore and other districts will be able to get power supplies from the selected grids. Tomar is certain that this will help bring about a much-needed improvement in the power supply system.

On a separate note, many parts of Indore have recently experienced two-and-a-half-hour disruption in power supply due to heavy rain showers. The Discom hopes that the new grids will help them respond more effectively to such issues and ensure a reliable and consistent power supply for the people of Madhya Pradesh.
