Indian Prime Minister Modi to conduct roadshow in Bhubaneswar on Friday evening.
On Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be making his second visit to Bhubaneswar in Odisha within a span of just one week. This time, he will be holding a roadshow in the evening to garner support for BJP candidates in the upcoming Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in the state. According to a party leader, the roadshow will cover a distance of two kilometers, starting from Sri Ram Mandir and ending at Vani Vihar Square, where BJP's sitting MP Aparajita Sarangi is contesting.

The BJP has fielded Babu Singh, Jagannath Pradhan, and Priyadarshi Mishra as its candidates for three Assembly seats in Bhubaneswar. The roadshow, which is scheduled to begin at 8 pm, will be followed by the prime minister's stay at the Raj Bhavan for the night. This will be Modi's second roadshow in Odisha in the last five years, highlighting the significance of the state for the party.

Apart from the roadshow, PM Modi will also address three public rallies on Saturday. The first rally will take place in Kandhamal at 9:30 am, followed by another one in Bolangir at 11:30 am and the final one in Bargarh at 1 pm. It is worth noting that the prime minister had visited the state just a few days ago on May 5, where he had held two election rallies.

To ensure the safety and security of the event, tight security arrangements have been put in place. As per a police officer, 55 platoons have been deployed and traffic restrictions will be imposed on Janpath from 2 pm on Friday. Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Police Commissioner Sanjeeb Panda further added that over 1,500 police personnel, including five DCP ranked officers, 10 additional DCPs, 27 ACPs, 41 inspectors, and 180 sub-inspectors, will be on duty for the roadshow. Additionally, three teams of special tactical units and police personnel in plainclothes will also be deployed during the event.

In an appeal to the public, Bhubaneswar MP Aparajita Sarangi urged them to join the roadshow in large numbers and show their support for the BJP. With the prime minister's visit, the state is buzzing with excitement and anticipation for the upcoming elections. Let us hope that this roadshow and the public rallies will help the party gain the support and votes of the people of Odisha.
